Walter Churches started trading as an independent plumber in 1905. He quickly gained a reputation for quality workmanship, absolute reliability and excellent service.

Over the years, the character of Churches has changed very little. Our services have widened to include the full range of electrical, mechanical and plumbing activities, but our commitment to quality, reliability and service has remained.

Just as Walter Churches made a point of recruiting and training apprentices a century ago, so the company he founded continues that commitment to the trades whose services we offer.

We feel that it is vital to put something back into these trades, because it is from the tradition of apprenticeship today that the experienced engineers of tomorrow will come.

A CAPABILITY TO RELY ON

At Churches, we pride ourselves on being large enough to provide the highest levels of response and service, no matter the timing or location.

We maintain a wide range of high-level engineering skills in-house. All of our engineers are highly qualified and regularly trained on new equipment. Their expertise enables them to carry out repairs right down to component level – a service rare in third-party maintenance.

We can offer inclusive on-site agreements, covering parts, labour and travel time with a guaranteed four-hour response time plus a routine daily, monthly or annual check.
We can offer comprehensive on-site service, which provides
on-site maintenance charged at an hourly rate plus materials used.
We also offer Control Panel manufacture for heating and ventilation, machines, test rigs, lighting and mimic panels.
We can vary our maintenance contracts to suit your exact needs, keeping your costs to a minimum, whilst maintaining the highest quality service.
All of our repairs carry a 90-day warranty against fault
re-occurrence.
